Tumeric Paste
  1. Mix all ingredients in a small a small sauce pan and mix well. Turn the heat to medium high and stir constantly until the mixture is a thick paste. This does not take long so don’t walk away from the pan. Let this mixture cool and then keep it in a small jar in the fridge.
Golden Milk
  1. Combine all the ingredients, except honey in a saucepan. Turn the heat to medium. While heating make sure to stir constantly and do not allow the mixture to boil. Add maple syrup or honey to taste. This is where you would add black pepper if you choose to ramp up your absorption of the healing properties of tumeric! Enjoy!

Here’s and interesting side note:

Adding black pepper to turmeric or turmeric-spiced food enhances curcumin’s bioavailability by 1,000 times, due to black pepper’s hot property called piperine. You guess itby mixing turmeric and black pepper together, you increase your body’s absorption of the turmeric by 2000%! And Black pepper actually aids in digestion as long as you do NOT cook it. It must not be heated, or it actually becomes toxic.

When making the Golden Milk, omit the black pepper in the paste and add it after you take the milk from the heat.
