- 1/2 cup Distilled Water
- 1 cup almond, coconut, hemp or cashew milk these are my choices, stick with plant based milks
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp tumeric paste
- 1 Tbls Grade B or C maple syrup or honey to taste
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon to taste
- Mix all ingredients in a small a small sauce pan and mix well. Turn the heat to medium high and stir constantly until the mixture is a thick paste. This does not take long so don’t walk away from the pan. Let this mixture cool and then keep it in a small jar in the fridge.
- Combine all the ingredients, except honey in a saucepan. Turn the heat to medium. While heating make sure to stir constantly and do not allow the mixture to boil. Add maple syrup or honey to taste. This is where you would add black pepper if you choose to ramp up your absorption of the healing properties of tumeric! Enjoy!
Here's and interesting side note:
Adding black pepper to turmeric or turmeric-spiced food enhances curcumin’s bioavailability by 1,000 times, due to black pepper’s hot property called piperine. You guess itby mixing turmeric and black pepper together, you increase your body’s absorption of the turmeric by 2000%! And Black pepper actually aids in digestion as long as you do NOT cook it. It must not be heated, or it actually becomes toxic.
Below is a quick How To video that shows adding the black pepper in the correct stage of the process when making Tumeric Paste. When following this process, remember do not cook the black pepper. When making the Golden Milk, omit the black pepper in the paste and add it after you take the milk from the heat.

GOLDEN MILK — What is the dose amount, times/day, length of time? Using for liver detox. Thank you,
Golden milk may be drunk several times a day. It may not be the best choice for detoxing liver just because the ingredients are limited. If you are looking for a good liver detox, take a look at the ingredients in our Liver Detox Tea or tincture found in the Resources tab of our website.
Golden milk is an excellent anti inflammatory and very beneficial for health. Drink up and enjoy!
What turmeric powder do you recommend?
I personally prefer to use my own homegrown turmeric, but if that is not possible, an organically grown turmeric powder will do the trick.
